Art meets subway

Best not to flash a camera on the subway, my daughter Lizabeth tells me. Though I’ve noticed that the later the hour, the more teens and tourists tend to flock together for such things as normally none-of-my-business riders sneak a peak.

I try to control my camera compulsion when we’re strolling the streets of NYC together, and felt especially pleased with myself one day when I walked right by a lovely bit of subway art with a marvelous Impressionism feel. But some days I’m a tad less reserved, and she’s a lot more tolerant.

So here’s a small sampling of subway art spied in recent days…
